The stay at Christina in Cologne had its ups and downs. The room was spacious, offering a good amount of space to relax. I appreciated the basic amenities, including a flat-screen TV and free toiletries. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming me with a complimentary shot upon arrival, which was a nice touch during the Carnival season. The hotel's cleanliness made me feel safe, even though some areas could use a bit more attention. The shower had a powerful spray, which I found refreshing. On the downside, the noise from the nearby train tracks was disruptive at night, making it challenging to get a good night's sleep. the lack of nearby eateries meant relying on delivery services for food, which was not ideal. Staff demeanor at times wasn’t as pleasant, particularly during check-in. For travelers looking for a basic stay with good service, this place could still be a decent option, but make sure to pack earplugs if you're sensitive to noise.

Oh, the cheese rolls I devoured during breakfast were absolutely legendary! They perfectly complemented my coffee. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfy bed that made it easy to drift off into dreamland. The staff was super friendly too, making the check-in process a breeze.
But let's keep it real, it looks like they’ve only changed the bedding around here because the cleaning job is a bit of a horror show. The shower had its own moldy ecosystem, and some unsightly marks on the walls were quite off-putting. Noise insulation? What’s that?

Noisy train tracks disrupted my sleep, but the staff provided great support and made for a comfortable stay.

i can't believe i almost gave this place a good review. the train tracks are just as loud as the rude reception staff, and who knew asking for a clean room came with a side of insects? i fully expected a complimentary upgrade for my troubles, but apparently that's too much to ask here. what a disappointment.

The dimensions of the Single Room offered a decent amount of space, making it comfortable for relaxation. The straightforward design provided a minimalist feel that suited my stay just fine.
The nearby train tracks create quite a ruckus, which may not be ideal for light sleepers—expect train sounds, especially at night. The lack of basic toiletries like shampoo and shower gel was disappointing. having only a small liquid soap hardly cuts it. WiFi was sluggish, reminiscent of ancient dial-up days, which made it frustrating to get anything done online. if you plan to grab a bite, you're in for a journey as the nearest amenities require a decent walk and possibly a train for a bite to eat. Don't expect a welcoming breakfast spread either. it's a tad barebones here.

The train sounds added an unexpected ambiance, making the stay quite unique! Meeting fellow travelers at nearby cafes turned out to be a highlight. I'd definitely recommend bringing earbuds to manage noise and exploring local restaurants for delightful meals.
